(how a cyborg might see and dream of)

ENTANGLEMENTS

sse

the second part of the cyborg series focuses on entanglements and borders between technology and nature. It exists where cables and roots meet and exchange information.

Spirituality can be found in trees on the streets of Hanoi, that serve both as cable towers, shrines for ghosts of past and future families and air purifiers in polluted cities. Electrical boxes, string lights and network cables build connections through people, but create beautiful new materialities that only rarely become visible. Barbed wire and plastic strings find their own lifes as they entangle themselves and their histories of conservation into natural environments. Driftwoods collect materials from all over the world and find themselves in their new unlikely role as exhibits of human intervention on touristy beaches.

As baselines shift and worlds entangle, new ecologies emerge.
